Geography Program

Columbia College offers several geography and geographic information systems (GIS) courses to help educate students to better understand the spatial world. Students who take geography or GIS courses will be better prepared to make informed, responsible decisions related to human and earth systems, including resource extraction and management, natural hazards, climate change, pollution and health related issues, demographics, population, etc. Additionally, the program seeks to employ students in geography related jobs (a combination of outdoor and indoor work/lifestyle) that are projected to continue to grow into the future. Professional geographers would need a bachelor's or master's degree. For more information about the geography courses offered, follow the links below.
