There are generally 4 parts to an Abstract:
1. The Topic (what was researched; 1 sentence);
2. The Significance (why the research was done; 1 sentence);
3. The Methodology (how the research was conducted - steps taken; a couple of sentences at most); and
4. The Findings (what was learned - a short summary and conclusion; this should make up the bulk of your Abstract).
It is common for conferences to ask for Abstracts in the range of 150 words in length. Parts 1, 2, and 3 above should be approximately one third of your Abstract (~50 words); therefore, part 4 should be approximately 2/3rds of your Abstract (~100) words.
