Earth Science, Geography, and Geographic Information Systems

     Columbia College offers Earth Science and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) courses that give students the opportunity to learn about earth sciences, natural resources, environmental studies, forestry, watershed systems, and geospatial technology, using state-of-the-art mapping hardware and software.  For more information on the Earth Science or GIS programs, select the appropriate link below.

     Columbia College is located 3 miles from the town of Sonora in Tuolumne County, California.  The campus serves a 5 county area and is situated in a forest at approximately 2,300 feet elevation in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
